Fusion-fission hybrid reactors constitute an interesting alternative for the generation of nuclear energy, since they have advantages over fission and fusion considered separately. This is because they will reduce the operation requirements of fusion reactors and will be able to use as fission fuel, elements extracted from the reprocesing of spent fuel elements of nuclear fission plants. Also, they will be intrinsically safe, since the fissile region will be subcritical, so fission reactions will stop if the external source shuts off. The objective of this work is to generate tools capable of coupling the neutron behavior of a hybrid reactor, consisting of a fusion neutron source produced by a tokamak nuclear reactor and a fissile mantle with fuels composed of minor actinides and cooled by sodium. The reactor is modeled with the OpenMC neutron transport code, which was validated by calculating two benchmarks of fast spectrum reactors. To simulate the external neutron source due to fusion reactions, the plasma is modeled by solving the Grad-Shafranov equation for different geometries, and the spatial distribution of these reactions is calculated. Considering that the source has a toroidal geometry, it is necessary to sample the distribution of the source in order to generate the necessary file to execute the neutronic code. Once the geometries, the compositions and the external source of the hybrid reactor are modeled, the results obtained for different operating parameters are evaluated, such as fission power, fusion power, multiplication factors and tritium production selfsustainability.
